Call Out to God
"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad consider: God has made the one as well as the other." Ecclesiastes 7:14 Today I want to talk to you about your good times and also your bad times. Scriptures like the one above reminds us that we are going to experience good days and also bad days. I know from the responses I receive to my daily devotionals that many people are going through tough times today due to financial issues, health issues, marriage issues, and a multitude of other problems. Many times we do not understand why we have to face these problems when we are trying to follow the will of God in our lives. When we look at the life of Job we find a man who lived for God, obeying his commands and doing God's will. But Job was tried and tested by God and suffered as most people will never experience. The message we need to receive through these examples such as Job, is that there is a brighter day coming. Times will be better when we continue to trust and keep our faith. Job endured his bad time and was blessed many times over with great wealth and God's bountiful blessings on him and his family. So if you find yourself today in a valley when things are not going well, I want you to realize that there are better things waiting for you. Continue to trust and have faith in God, and do not give up. There are better days coming, so continue to pray and ask God to deliver you from your situation. Remember to keep your eyes focused on God, and your days will become brighter, as God will pour out his blessings on you, just as he did Job. "I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me." Psalm 120:1
