Stand Steadfast

"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord."

         1st Corinthians 15:58

The Christian journey that we are on is one where we need to be steadfast, and not let the winds of the day blow us off course.  It is so easy to be led astray by the temptations that surround us in everyday life, that get us off our path.  This is why the daily time with the Lord is so critical, as this is the time that we renew our faith and trust in God, that will help keep us focused on the journey to do the will of God in our lives.  It is so easy to see examples all around us where people have gotten their eyes and hearts off God, and are wandering hopelessly in sin, and away from the path that God wants them to walk.  It is difficult for us to bear fruit in our life for the Lord when we do not have the consistency day in and day out.  When we aren't steadfast and consistent in our daily walk with God it is difficult for the Lord to use us to touch others.  Becoming mature in our Christian experience is extremely important, so that we can be the best servant to God as we possibly can.  Being steadfast in our daily life is critical to getting to that place in our life with the Lord.  I believe God has a great plan for each of you, and I would encourage you to make it a priority in your prayer life to work daily to get to the point where you are steadfast, unmovable in your life and commitment to Christ.  God wants each day to be important to you, and wants each day to be one where His plan will unfold, and you will know the fullness of His blessings.  I will be praying today that you will find the strength and courage to be steadfast and not wavering as you serve the Lord.
